Human MADE is a Japanese fashion label, founded by fashion designer and music producer/DJ NIGO, in 2010.
Contrary to popular belief this brand is not owned by Pharrell Williams. However, in 2005, Nigo partnered with Pharrell Williams to create and launch the streetwear brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream footwear.
In 2010, Nigo launched the brand Human Made. Nigo is a associated with other dope brands. In 2014 he became the creative director for Uniqlo's UT brand, and in September 2021, Kenzo appointed him as its new artistic director. He is also the owner of Bape Sounds Record Label. Nigo partnered with Luxury brand Louis Vuitton alongside of Virgil Abloh to create a capsule collection and was one of the creative masterminds behind Kenzo. That’s a whole lotta names huh?
During my time in Manhattan I made a trip to the Soho Billionaire Boys Club Flagship Store. Inside was insane. Not only was there BBC Ice Cream, but merch from major hype brands like Reebok, Adidas, Comme des Garcons, Rizzoli Books, Medicom and of course Human MADE. We had just gotten back from the Brooklyn Museum earlier that day and I wanted to get fly the next morning to hit some more dope locations. This was definitely the place to get some unique pieces. In particular the Human MADE x Dry Alls collab stood out to me. Being a huge fan of Pharrell & Nigo, I went a little overboard and racked up!
